DEATHLOOP is free with Prime Gaming

Each month, those who are subscribed to Amazon Prime are privy to a number of free games as part of the company’s Prime Gaming initiative. For the month of December, subscribers can get their hands on a decent selection of titles, headlined by Arkane Lyon’s much-loved DEATHLOOP.

Available to add to your library throughout the month, December’s line-up of free titles is as follows:

  • DEATHLOOP (Epic Games Store) – 7th of December
  • Akka Arrh (Amazon Games App) – 14th of December
  • Aground (Amazon Games App) – 14th of December
  • SeaOrama: World of Shipping (Amazon Games App) – 14th of December
  • Kombinera (Epic Games Store) – 21st of December
  • A Tiny Sticker Tale (Amazon Games App) – 28th of December
  • Asteroids: Recharged (Epic Games Store) – 28th of December

The headlining title for December is undoubtedly DEATHLOOP. Developed by Arkane Lyon (of Dishonored 2 fame) this 2019 game represents the first title from the studio to release exclusively on current-gen platforms.

Additionally, while the sentiment toward DEATHLOOP has somewhat cooled since its release, the game received near-universal praise at launch, with particular flowers being given towards its art direction and overall style/presentation.

As with each month, you can also get your hands on dozens of in-game items across a bunch of titles including League of Legends; Apex Legends; COD Warzone; Hearthstone; Cyberpunk 2077; Diablo IV; and Overwatch 2 – to name just a few.

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
