It's that time of year again, over the next few weeks we are going to see game publishers launch a slew of major titles just in time for Christmas. So if you're an Nvidia user, you can expect plenty of driver updates over the next several weeks, as the green team is planning a Game Ready driver for eleven upcoming titles, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Fallout 4 and Star Wars: Battlefront.
The first Game Ready driver on the list has already launched ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's launch tomorrow.
The full list of games due to get Game Ready driver support and optimizations includes:
- Call of Duty Black Ops III
- Fallout 4
- Civilization Online
- Star Wars Battlefront
- StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void
- Assassin's Creed Syndicate
- Just Cause 3
- Rainbow Six Siege
- Fable Legend Open beta
- Monster Hunter Online
- RollerCoaster Tycoon World
Nvidia first launched Game Ready drivers two years ago and since then, it has really been ramping them up, with a new driver released not just for game launches but for betas too in some cases. Those using a GTX GPU should also keep in mind the recent changes to the GeForce Experience that Nvidia announced a few weeks back too.
KitGuru Says: Right now I'm not sure if every single game is going to get a dedicated driver release or if some releases will be bundled together with one driver. Either way, those using Nvidia GPUs can expect plenty of driver support for upcoming games this holiday.
358.66 onward also includes Vulkan support ! Which I hope gives DX a good thrashing and games developers everywhere learn to embrace this wonderful new API !!
i really doubt that will happen, but hopefully competition will generate more innovation. mantel did that after all.
