EK Cooling launches waterblocks for SSDs

PCIe SSDs offer plenty of advantages in terms of speed and storage over traditional SATA offerings. However, they can look a little out-of-place if you've spent a lot of time and effort in to a custom water cooling loop for your system. Now, those PCIe based SSDs can fit right in, as EK Cooling has announced its own water blocks for Intel's 750 series solid state drives.

Obviously an SSD doesn't run hot enough to actually require water cooling, or even warrant it but if your going for a certain look and don't want to compromise on drive speed, then this is one way to go.

The water block features a high flow design allowing it to be easily used with systems using weaker water pumps. The base is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top cover is made of stainless steel. Screw-in brass standoffs are pre-installed and allow for safe, painless installation procedure.

Obviously this is enthusiast-level hardware, so things aren't going to be cheap. The block itself is called the ‘EK-FC I750' and costs €89.95 here in the EU.

KitGuru Says: Watercooling your SSD probably won't make it last longer or make any difference to performance, but it will certainly look pretty good! This might just be me, but if I were to build a custom waterloop system, I'd want all of my PCIe devices to be part of it, rather than having anything that isn't a GPU stand out like a sore thumb.
