EVGA is adding another power supply to its range, this time focussing on offering value. The EVGA 700B PSU comes 80 Plus Bronze rated, offering 85 percent efficiency under typical loads and as the name suggests, it also offers 700 watts of power, for those with lots of demanding components.
This power supply is based on a single +12V rail design, which supports 56A. As with most quality power supplies these days, there are also safety protections in place to protect against any potential damage to your components if something goes wrong.
Key features for the PSU include:
- High amperage single-rail design for maximum power and efficiency.
- 80 PLUS Bronze certified, with 85% efficiency or higher under typical loads.
- Heavy-duty protections, including OVP (Over Voltage Protection), UVP (Under Voltage Protection, OCP (Over Current Protection), OPP (Over Power Protection), and SCP (Short Circuit Protection.
- Continuous power ensures the longevity and stability at the officially rated wattage, rather than rating off an unsustainable peak wattage.
This power supply should be available soon. Unfortunately, we don't have a price yet either, so while EVGA is branding this as a value power supply, we don't have any specific numbers for the US or Europe.
KitGuru Says: Having a decent power supply should be a high priority for any PC, after all, a decent unit can last you for years. Do any of you own an EVGA power supply? Are you happy with it?
I’ve got a Supernova 1000 P2 from EVGA.. never had even the slightest problem and it has a 10 year warranty anyway. So yeah I’m very happy with it.
“cool story bro”.
Doesn’t have to do anything with this 3 year warranty cheap-o 700W PSU with only 2 PEG connectors. Totally different quality.
