The Witcher 3 patch 1.12 is now live

CD Projekt Red may have shut down talk of an upcoming Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition but that doesn't mean it is finished with the game. This week, the studio went live with patch 1.12, which aims to tidy things up a bit more in both the base game and the Hearts of Stone expansion, which came out back in October.

Things to be patched up include an issue with an achievement not completing in Hearts of Stone, some rare quest progress preventing bugs and some general performance improvements.

There was also a problem where toxic gas clouds failed to deal damage to the player which has now been fixed and some general UI improvements have been implemented.

The actual changelog is much longer, listing over 80 changes in total so it may be worth having a look at the whole thing yourself. This will probably be one of the last patches the game gets before we see the second expansion, Blood and Wine, launch later this year.

KitGuru Says: The Witcher 3 was a pretty solid game at launch and probably one that you wouldn't expect to receive 12 patches. However, this does go to show just how dedicated CD Projekt Red is to ensure that everyone who buys The Witcher 3 has a good experience.
