GTA V added to PS Plus Extra

Each month, Sony updates its library of PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium titles, adding and removing games on a regular basis. In alignment with the recent announcement of GTA VI (and a new update to GTA Online), the PS5 remaster of 2013’s GTA V has now been added to the service.

Making the announcement via the PlayStation Blog, Adam Michel – the Director of Content Acquisition & Operations at SIE said “A new month heralds even more titles joining the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog. December’s lineup is playable from Tuesday, December 19, headlined by Grand Theft Auto V, letting even more players travel to Los Santos to experience the exhilarating single player story campaign, then craft their own career on the city streets and beyond in the vast multiplayer world of GTA Online.”

With that, the full list of games joining PS Plus Extra on the 19th of December is as follows:

  • Grand Theft Auto V | PS4, PS5
  • Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin | PS4, PS5
  • Moto GP23 | PS4, PS5
  • Metal: Hellsinger* | PS4, PS5
  • Salt and Sacrifice | PS4, PS5
  • Moonscars | PS4, PS5
  • Mega Man 11 | PS4
  • Gigabash | PS4, PS5
  • Grime | PS4, PS5
  • Tinykin | PS4, PS5
  • Prodeus | PS4, PS5
  • Shadowrun Returns | PS4, PS5
  • Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director's Cut | PS4, PS5
  • Shadowrun: Hong Kong – Extended Edition | PS4, PS5

As always, a much smaller list of titles have also been added to the Premium tier, namely:

  • Mega Man Legacy Collection | PS4
  • Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 | PS4
  • Thrillville | PS4, PS5
  • Thrillville: Off the Rails | PS4, PS5
  • Buzz Lightyear of Star Command | PS4, PS5

Though certainly not the most exciting list, the inclusion of GTA V will likely be a welcome addition for many, especially as it offers both the PS4 and PS5 versions, meaning if you somehow have not purchased the game you can experience Rockstar Game’s masterpiece with plenty of time to go before 2025’s GTA VI.

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
