Destiny 2 Legacy Collection is free on the Epic Games Store

Each week, Epic Games gives away a game or two to all those with an Epic Games account. As they have done for the past many years, the Christmas season sees the platform holder go all-out on offering titles for free. 2023’s Holiday giveaway begins with Destiny 2: Legacy Collection.

Available from now until the 20th of December, Destiny 2 Legacy Collection includes almost all of the expansions released so far for the game – all but the most recent ‘Lightfall’ expansion. That means you're able to get your hands on Shadowkeep, Beyond Light and The Witch Queen. At launch, each of these expansions cost a combined £70 if bought separately (or £49.99 if bought together).

If you have yet to play any of Destiny’s expansions, the Legacy Collection will give you plenty to get stuck into for quite some time. Furthermore, as the expansions are tied to your Bungie account, you will own them across all platforms.

As mentioned, Destiny 2 marks the beginning of Epic’s annual seasonal promotion which sees the Fortnite maker give away a free game every single day. According to insider Billbil-kun, from the 20th onwards, a new free game will be given away each day until the 4th of January – totalling 17 games. Even if the Epic Games store isn’t your primary way to play PC games, Epic normally kicks it up a notch for the season, so it is worth keeping an eye out.
