Corsair's RAM kits have become quite popular over the years and have earned a solid reputation. However, things are about to get kicked up a notch as Corsair has revealed its new Vengeance 32GB, 64GB and 128GB DDR4 memory kits, which also happen to be its fastest ever.
Corsair's new Vengeance DDR4 kits offer speeds of up to 3600MHz. The kits themselves are designed to take full advantage of Intel's X99 platform, with full XMP 2.0 support and running at 1.35V with CL16-18-18-36 low latency timings.
Also joining the Corsair DDR4 lineup are the new Vengeance LPX 64GB (4x16GB) 3,333MHz and Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) 3,600MHz kits, the highest frequency 64GB and 32GB DDR4 kits Corsair has ever produced. These two kits in particular are optimized to take advantage of Intel's Z170 platform.
The Vengeance LPX 64GB (4x16GB) 3,333MHz kit runs at 1.35V with CL16-18-18-36 timings, while the Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) 3,600MHz kit runs at 1.35V with CL16-19-19-39 timings. All three kits come with Corsair's LPX thermal spreader for better heat management. These kits should also be available already though pricing outside of the US is currently unknown.
In the US, the 128GB kit starts at $1,174.99, the 64GB kit goes for $549.99 and the 32GB goes for $349.99 with tax excluded.

I’m wondering if this even matters. Every article I’ve seen on RAM says going from DDr3 to DDr4 is so small the average person cant tell the difference in performance.

You may not need it but good luck getting ddr3 to work on any new chipset that you want to upgrade to.
It’s like most things in life that we buy, It’s all just excess and marketing.
We don’t need hardly any of it but if you could afford a Ferrari or a 100inch UHDtv would you get one? Most people will say of course. lol

DDR4 is a non event. I have them but not because i wanted them.

would it work on Asrock X99 WS?
Corsair Vengeance 1866Mhz (8GBx2)
I probably won’t upgrade ram for 4-5 years.
I’m afraid it will not. Most X99 motherboards support maximum 2600Mhz speed and 1.2V… And some even have limit to four RAM sticks when running at that speed. I have MSI X99S Plus, and it can take 8 dimms at 2400 or 4 at 2600…
PS. I checked that your board can take max 3000Mhz, but there is no info how many sticks you can plug at that speed.
Still on my good old 2500K @ 4.7Ghz with 16GB of DDR3 1600Mhz 8-8-8-21-1T. I have no need to upgrade.
Currently using Corsair’s 16GB (4x4GB) 2400MHz kit (CL14; 14-16-16-31) on ASUS’s X99-Pro/USB 3.1 motherboard, with Intel’s I7-5960X, and Samsung’s 840EVO 250GB SSD. Have been considering upgrading the ram (and SSD) but hoping to know if I might realize a significant gain. Would a higher ram frequency and/or capacity – and a newer, larger-capacity SSD (SATA, M2?) appreciably benefit my build? Thanks much!
Go for the M2 SSD. Your RAM is fine, I even envy you those CL timings. I notice that each new DDR4 generation, they get less and less snappy with their CL. I had DDR3 with 9-9-9 1T and now I have 16-16-16 2T… Every click, opening some menu in programs and so, takes that nanosecond more, some do not notice that and some like me do. So, save yourself the money and get M2 Samsung 950 PRO 512GB, this is where you will feel the difference.

It reminds me of back in the early 2000’s when boy racers used to mod the hell out of their cars with wide boy body kits, massive spoiler and as many air vents as they could lol

Iam on 2500k overclocked to 4.2 ghz o 12 gb ddr 3 1600 mhz and gtx 970 g1 gaming 4 gb, It runs all new games maxed 1440p except the badly optimized ones like deus ex mankind divded and quantum break. But i will buy new cpu ram and motherboard when PCI 4.0 motherboards releases sometime in 2017. I willl buy core i7 7700k 16 gb ddr4 3400 mhz corsair and in 2018 i will buy new graphics card a gtx 1170 or 1180
Video rendering benefits, slight fps boost in newer games. Faster Ram also seem to reduce cpu bottleneck.
The difference will increase once apps get optimized for it
