FSP has debuted a new range of power supplies this week, known as the Hydro series. They utilise a single 12v rail design and feature 80PLUS Bronze efficiency, with an 88 per cent peak and a flat ribbon cable design, which cuts back on its interference in case airflow and makes cable routing that bit easier.
Aimed at gamers with high performing, silent operation in mind, the Hydro series offers solid stability for high-powered GPUs on that single 12v rail – though that doesn't mean it's not SLI or Crossfire ready, because it is. It'll help protect your components from damage too, as it features measures for over voltage, under voltage and short circuiting.
The ribbon cables are a big selling point of the new Hydro series though. At just a few millimetres thick, they help make the system much tidier and with the extra long 20+4pin cable, you'll definitely be able to thread it behind the motherboard tray to keep it tucked away.
All models in the range support a five year warranty too.
The FSP Hydro 80PLUS Bronze range comes in 500w, 600w and 700w flavours, priced at $60, $70 and $80 respectively. No UK pricing has yet been announced.

KitGuru Says: Although FSP might not be the most common PSU brand in the UK, it does have quite a stacked range. Is it part of the list of manufacturers you trust when it comes to power supplies?
Easier? Personally I’ve found the flat type cables harder to route as they have a habit of twisting round sound to long side of them ends up being the wrong way to what you want it
