You can now buy games on Steam using Bitcoin

While the fanfare surrounding digital currencies like Bitcoin seems to have settled down a bit over the last year, plenty of people still have some left over to use and now, you can use your Bitcoins on Steam. We first heard that Valve may roll out Bitcoin payments on the Steam store back in February when hints were found in the Steam client's translation servers

According to earlier reports, Valve may be planning to use a third-party company known as BitPay to handle transactions. Bitcoin has now joined the many other payment methods Steam currently offers, including standard credit/debit cards, PayPal, Skrill, and Steam credit.

Right now, when you go to the select payment method on Steam, you can find Bitcoin at the end of the list.

KitGuru Says: While digital currency doesn't make headlines as often right now, it is still interesting to see companies warming to the idea. Do any of you have an interest in Bitcoin? What do you think of Valve's decision to begin accepting it?
