Witcher 3: Blood and Wine expansion’s new zone is huge

CD Projekt Red appears to be opening up a bit more when it comes to The Witcher 3's upcoming expansion, Blood and Wine. We already knew that this was set to be the larger of the two expansions but now the quest designer for the game has openly talked about the sheer size of the new playable area coming to the game and it is huge, supposedly matching the size of all the Skellige islands combined.

For those who have played The Witcher 3, you will know that Skellige is the largest area in the game. So Blood and Wine's new area, which will house the city of Touissant, will add some significant playable area to the game.

This information was revealed in an interview with German website, Gamestar, which was translated by user Pawel95 on Reddit. There is no release date for the expansion just yet but apparently it should happen before E3, which adds some weight to the rumours that Blood and Wine will launch in June.

The new expansion will also add a new Gwent faction deck to the game, focussing on Skellige. Aside from that, not much else was revealed aside from some interesting tidbits surrounding the Witcher 3's development. Apparently, just two people were put in charge of placing all of the NPCs in Novigrad and giving them tasks, so that must have been quite the job. You can find a run down of everything revealed in the interview, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Blood and Wine's new playable area is going to be massive by the sounds of it. CD Projekt Red certainly likes to offer a lot of content and value with its games/expansions. Are any of you planning on jumping back into The Witcher when the new expansion comes out?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
