be quiet! launches Dark Base 900 case

be quiet! has just launched its brand new flagship PC chassis, the Dark Base 900, aiming to provide as much modularity and flexibility as possible with a motherboard tray that can be removed for easier component mounting, singular drive cages that can be placed anywhere and plenty of support for watercooling components.

The aim here was to build a mid-tower with big-tower features, which was made possible by the modular design. The motherboard tray can fit ITX up to E-ATX boards and by making the drive mounts singular and mountable anywhere you need, the Dark Base 900 will always be able to provide the best possible air flow.

Speaking of airflow, this case also offers great cooling capacity, with more than enough fan mounting slots and support for up to 420mm radiators in the top and front. Support for up to a 240mm radiator on the bottom, and support for up to a 140mm radiator on the rear of the case. Sound insulation foam is also used to help keep noise to a minimum.

There will be two models of the Dark Base 900. The Pro model comes with a 4mm tempered glass window in the side panel, four PWM and non-PWM fan connectors as well as a hub, two RGB lighting strips and a Qi wireless charger. These extras bump the price up a bit, so for the regular case, you will be paying €199, while for the Pro version, you will be paying €249.
