We have been hearing about the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 for a while now. At this point we have heard quite a bit about release plans and even the device's specifications but now we also know when Samsung is planning to announce it, with sources pointing towards a 2nd of August date for the next Galaxy Unpacked event, at which we will see the Note 7 or potentially the Note 7 Edge.
According to a report from Sammobile, Samsung's next unpacked event will be taking place on the 2nd of August at the Lincoln Centre in New York.
However, right now, there seems to be some doubt over whether Samsung will launch a regular Galaxy Note 7, or if it will launch an Edge model instead, with a curved screen. Either way, the upcoming flagship is rumoured to come with a 5.8-inch 1440p display, a new Exynos chip, an iris scanner and a USB Type-C port along with a 4000 mAh battery.
