Dead by Daylight has been a sleeper hit over the years, in part thanks to a constantly rotating batch of licensed horror film and TV characters. While the game is popular, it only really has one game mode. Looking to the future, Behaviour Interactive is now considering new modes for the game.
Behaviour Interactive, the team behind Dead by Daylight, has rolled out a survey seeking player opinions on potential new game modes. The survey lists options like Hide & Seek, Deceivers, Bumrush, and Zombie Tag.
Hide & Seek resembles a Prop Hunt-style game mode, while Deceivers mirrors the gameplay of Among Us, where players must identify the killer among the survivors. Bumrush, on the other hand, offers an accelerated version of the standard gameplay, granting players increased speed and access to extra generators with a limited number of lives to escape.
These proposed modes aim to diversify the gaming experience for Dead by Daylight players. No official plans for new modes have been announced, but it seems pretty clear from the survey that the developers have been prototyping and experimenting with some new ideas.

KitGuru Says: I feel like at this point, most Dead by Daylight players will stick to the standard mode but I do think something like a Deceivers mode could be successful. A lot of people still play Among Us and that style of game has become very popular across both digital and tabletop gaming over the last ten years. The Bumrush mode that speeds up the standard gameplay could also be a fun experience, but that would depend heavily on matchmaking balance. As it is currently, we often see overpowered killer characters dominating online matches against weaker survivor characters.
