This week, following on from many, many leaks, Take Two officially announced that it would be launching the Bioshock collection in September, rounding up all three games and DLCs with graphical upgrades for the PC as well as current generation consoles. However, if you already own Bioshock 1 and 2 on the PC, you will get the new versions for free.
Bioshock Infinite won't be getting any graphical upgrades as it is apparently already up to current generation standards visually on the PC. The console version will now run at 1080p and 60 frames per second.
The Bioshock Collection launches on the 16th of September for the PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4. It includes Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Protector Trials and Minerva's Den DLCs, Bioshock Infinite and the Clash in the Clouds, Columbia's Finest and Burial at Sea episodes 1 and 2 DLCs.
Aside from all of that, there will be a director's commentary video series with input from Ken Levine, a virtual museum of concepts cut from the original BioShock for those that would like to take a deeper dive into the series' history and making.
KitGuru Says: The Bioshock games are all highly regarded for the most part so it will be good to revisit them with some updated visuals. Will you guys be revisiting Bioshock later this year?
