We have heard before that Marvel is shooting for quality from any future game releases, so when Activision announced that it would be releasing remasters of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 on PC and current gen consoles, people got pretty excited. Unfortunately, in typical Activision fashion, the remasters launched in a half-finished state and now, Marvel Games' Creative Director is chasing things up with the publisher to ensure fixes.
The PC versions of these games seemed to get the worst treatment. Xbox controllers don't work correctly, default key bindings and mouse controls make no sense, there are general gameplay bugs and finally, the DLC characters weren't included at launch. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 does include the DLC characters but for whatever reason, the sound is totally broken. Just for added insult to injury, both games are priced at £31.99, or £40 for the bundle.
Since then, Bill Rosemann, Creative Director of Marvel Games has taken to Twitter to say that Marvel is listening to the feedback and is taking it up with Activision to try and get it fixed. We are already starting to see some progress too, as MUA1 will be getting the DLC characters and other fixes.
Activision itself hasn't said much on the topic but hopefully we will see more fixes on the way soon.
KitGuru Says: I was really excited for the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance re-releases. Unfortunately, these ports don't do justice to either game. From the sounds of it though, Marvel is pushing for improvements and fixes so hopefully after a few patches things will be cleared up.
Incredibly overpriced remakes and they don’t even work. Leave it up to a major publisher like Activision to rip off fans in this manner.
Then they say oh sorry we’ll go back and fix it…How about Activision takes the extra time to make it right before it gets released. Sure theyd get a bit of hate for a delay but it would all go away as soon as the finished product was launched. Once all these issues get resolved Im buying it tho, Im pretty exctied for these games

pssst…your code is showing
Indeed. The result of this rush to publish policy is that people will think twice next time before buying. I’m not going anywhere near anything from WB since the latest Arkham fuck up, until I know for certain that it’s a finished and well polished product.
But then again, plenty of idiots out there that keep pre-ordering. So basically, consumers get what they pay for.

agreed. I don’t plan on buying them anyways. They want way too much money for some old games that were good but not the greatest games ever to begin with. Please dont waste your money on this until they fix it, if they do.
Wow everyone complains and want it now, then when it’s rushed out, everyone complains about it should have been held till it was proper.

Man…..
Get your sh.i.t together Activision, you had 10 bloody years to do this the right way and then for some reason you guys royally fuck what was supposed to be simple implementation’s.
Seriously though, how can the serve up not one but TWO games released 10yr ago with such bad porting, when they could have spent AGES on it when the wanted to.
I feel this is a massive cash grab as all it really is MUA 2 is tweaked and reworked emulation from a PSP or WII rom hence why the bindings are incorrect.
May as well just play it on my emulation tools PPSSPP or Dolphin albeit with lower quality graphics possibly but the fact that these are supposed to official releases is absolutely ridiculous…..
Come on Marvel, kick Activision’s ass and get them to do what every other publisher is able to do and give us a properly optimized game at a Fair and reasonable price taking into the fact it is 10yrs old.
I would gladly pay £30 for both, £15 each is completely fair and then possibly £20 by themselves.
What about PSP Exclusives (Characters (Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Ronin)+ Simulations (For these characters including for Hawkeye & 6 Survival Stages) + Prequel Mission (Not counting Exclusive Special Single Player))?
There’s still a remaining slots for those characters (Ronin > Captain Marvel (Moon Knight’s left side) & Black Widow (Spider-Woman’s right side), missing parts & issues left:
Known issues & missing parts:
* Incorrect files and codes naming on a certain files cause unplayed like:
** Inside colos_m folder like Death, Jump, .etc has the file name part still “_v” instead of “_m”
** Doom’s special dialogue with Ymir on the doc map package file name is still not renamed to “niffleheim2b_dlc” since 2b is where Ymir appeared
** Spider-Woman’s special dialogue with Pym before going to Niffleheim on Spider-Woman part, along with simulations (mostly villain intro first parts, including the unused Hulk’s simulation on Bruce Banner parts) not playing. Probably around the file name or coding within the files inside sounds and conversations folders respectively
** On Doom1.oh notepad script, Doctor Strange’s heroname for his Special Dialogues with Doom is still not changed to his actual heroname, DrStrange
** Xbox One Controller Right Trigger and other 3rd party mapping like Logitech are still broken, unlike a fully compatible Xbox 360 & PS4 controller on PC version
** A still broken PC keyboard custom config when customize pressing Tab, Space, Alt and L Ctrl to other functions
** No Shadow, Advance Lighting and custom controller config on PC version
** No pre-Remastered models (including from X-Men Legends series and MUA2 n-space), mesh modding and XML2 PSP animation compatible, due new Alchemy program never been published publically
