If you thought Tiltbrush was cool before, wait until you get a look at its new audio reactive mode. Now artists can make their virtual reality paintings come alive even more, by making certain strokes react when you're playing music. Ever wanted to create your own visualiser? Now you can.
Although many virtual reality games have focused on shooting mechanics to give gamers a chance to pull real triggers in virtual worlds, audio-based games have also proved popular. Audioshield is still one of the best experiences you can have in VR and Soundstage is proving popular in its Early Access period. [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFzAB4mr3KI']
TiltBrush's new audio reactive mode looks to be an equally strong contender for most musical VR experience, as some of the demonstrations shown in Google's debut video for the feature show some of the cool stuff people have already made.
As Ars points out, the experience isn't exactly smooth right now though. With no dedicated in-game player, you'll need to tab out of TiltBrush and launch your own music software or play something through a browser and then tab back in. But from there you're off and running and whatever kind of song you play, your reactive brush strokes should react accordingly.
Along with this free update released this week, TiltBrush now also features some new paint strokes, including a “cartoon,” one, “tapered,” and new pen strokes too.

KitGuru Says: I still need to finish my large church scene. It started as a spooky graveyard, but became a sprawling grounds, with a church, pond, detailed tree and even an interior for the religious building. I started working on an underground demon portal too, but it's a slow process.
