HyperX Alloy FPS Keyboard Revealed at Gamescom 2016

Following the huge success of the Cloud and Cloud II headsets, HyperX is now moving into the gaming keyboard market. The move toward peripherals makes sense from a branding and marketing point of view when your key products (i.e. DDR and SSD) normally remain hidden from view. At Gamescom 2016, KitGuru was given a tour of the Alloy FPS keyboard with Cherry Blue switches by Ed Baily, EMEA HyperX Business Manager was on hand to give us the details.

The HyperX team have been sponsoring pro-gamers for quite some time. Ed explained that input from their teams was crucial in the design of all his company's latest gaming peripherals. This segment of the market is highly competitive, but HyperX made quite a splash with the Cloud and Cloud II – so it is possible that it will attract a following with the HyperX Allow FPS.

KitGuru says: Price will be crucial with this kind of product. The further under £100 that HyperX can target – the better chance they will have of strong sales.

  1. Wow take a deep bow HyperX, about 3 years to late you’ve managed to make my Corsair K70 right down to the metal trim, usb pass through and red keys. Whats next the MMO version with innovative bank of macro keys on the left? If you get back to me in another 3 years I’ll show you these flashy RGB lights.
Stick to the headsets HyperX, I love my Cloud1, its what you do best.
