It has been a few weeks since Intel launched its new Core Ultra processors for laptops. As part of the Pre-CES media day, we got to spend some time with the first Meteor Lake laptops. In this video, Leo sits down to get some benchmarks in.
In one of the MSI notebooks we find an Intel Core Ultra 7 165H. The 165H designates the model code. That's significant because the model we were expecting to see is the 155H. The 155H has a 28 watt PL1 or sustained power draw. The 165H is 64W according to HWInfo.
In a quick run of Cinebench 23, we saw a flash temperature of 110 Celsius but this quickly dropped back down to the mid 80s after a few seconds. Unfortunately, our Cinebench single-core run also froze. Prior to that though, we did observe the processor boosting to just under 5GHz and the laptop is also very thin. While the first boost phase does get quite hot, things do settle down after that.
KitGuru Says: We'll be back with more CES coverage over the next few days so expect plenty more to come.
