The Razer Deathadder first launched ten years ago and over time, it has gone on to become one of the most popular gaming mice around. However, there is always room for improvement, which has pushed Razer to create the Deathadder Elite, a new version of the mouse with all new switches co-developed with Omron, it also features a new and improved 5G sensor.
According to Razer, the Deathadder Elite is the “world's most accurate” mouse thanks to the use of the 5G Optical Sensor. Some of Razer's other mice, like the Mamba Wireless and Tournament Edition feature a similar 5G 16,000 DPI sensor, however, the Deathadder Elite sensor has had its IPS (inches per second) speed boosted to 450, which should help eliminate any ‘skipping' issues with the mouse cursor.
The big new addition here are the new Razer mechanical mouse switches, which have been developed in collaboration with Omron. These new switches are tweaked to offer the fastest response times, as well as lasting durability. These new switches are rated to survive up to 50 million clicks, so the mouse should last you a long time.
Aside from that, the classic Deathadder ergonomic shape remains the same, with rubber side grips and two side buttons to keep things simple. The final addition to the Deathadder Elite is Chroma lighting, which has often impressed on Razer's other peripherals. The mouse is available to pre-order now for £69.99, with first shipments scheduled to go out on the 17th of October.

KitGuru Says: I'm a Razer Mamba (2015) user myself since I prefer my mice to be wireless. However, I as far as wired mice go, I have heard great things about the Deathadder. Have many of you guys owned a Deathadder? Are you looking to switch to a new gaming mouse this year at all?
Great things and razer do not go together
Razer belongs with shoddy and poor QC and early failure
I had a Deathadder but the middle button died after few years followed by a Roccat Kone XTD
and the mouse wheel died after less than a year. I am done with gaming mices, I do mostly
3D CAD, gaming not so much any more and the middle button is important, I switched to a
3Dconnexion CADMouse accompanied with a SpaceMouse Enterprise, the CADMouse is
the best I ever had hope she last longer than the gaming mices.
