Gigabyte is extending the warranty for its QD-OLED monitors to three years

Following several other monitor sellers, Gigabyte is the latest vendor to extend the warranty of its QD-OLED gaming displays. Like others, Gigabyte is also extending the warranty of its QD-OLED gaming monitors to three years, giving users some extra peace of mind.

After CES 2024, Asus announced an extension of its QD-OLED monitor warranty to two years, which now includes burn-in protection. Shortly after, MSI announced an upgrade to the warranty period of its QD-OLED monitors to three years, also providing protection against the OLED burn-in effect. In response, Asus had to adjust its warranty period to align with MSI's three-year coverage. Dell/Alienware has begun offering a 3-year burn-in warranty for its QD-OLED monitors as well.

Gigabyte was the only company that did not offer a three-year warranty for its QD-OLED monitors, but that has now changed with the company's recent announcement, extending the warranty of its entire QD-OLED monitor line-up to three years. Although the company does not directly mention burn-in protection, the warranty is said to offer “protection against potential panel image retention issues,” which can be interpreted as such.

The monitors eligible for the warranty extension include the Aorus CO49DQ, Aorus FO32U2P, Aorus FO32U2, Aorus FO27Q3, Aorus MO34WQC, and Aorus MO34WQC2 monitors.

KitGuru says: With MSI, Gigabyte, Alienware and Asus offering a three-year warranty on their QD-OLED monitors, Samsung (the panel manufacturer) and HP are the only major QD-OLED vendors missing from this list.
