Today at CES Leo spent some time looking at the new Omen Transcend 14 laptop. It is very thin and light, but packs up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor under the hood, which also means it benefits from Intel's new AI Boost technology.
On the display side, you get a high-resolution OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR, covering 100 percent of the DCI P3 colour gamut and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The laptop can be configured with up to 32GB of high-speed DDR5 memory, a 2TB M.2 SSD and up to an RTX 4070 GPU, which is impressive for a laptop this thin – it is also currently the lightest gaming laptop in its class. The Omen Transcend 14 utilises rear venting for the cooling system, and it means that around the sides, we just have ports and connectors, which is a first for an Omen laptop.
Once this laptop arrives in the UK, you'll be able to get it through Currys with a free HyperX Cloud 3 headset thrown in so you can jump straight into gaming. Alternatively, you can opt for another HyperX product or a Steam voucher to grab some new games. Pre-orders are live now, starting at £1,699.99.
