Nintendo invited KitGuru to London last week to have a hands-on session with its upcoming Nintendo Switch console and we were more than happy to oblige. While we weren't hugely impressed with the games on show, there were still a few interesting titles that we think are worth taking a closer look at and we captured some footage just for you guys.
The Nintendo Switch is launching with a few exciting games, most prominently Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, though we also got to play some post-launch titles like the enhanced Mario Kart 8, Splatoon 2 and Arms, among others. In this extended look at some of those games, I talk you through my experiences with them and what the more interesting features of them are.
Apologies for some of the video quality, the event was packed, it was very hot and sticky and our camera seemed to be overheating, so there are little ‘judders' a few times in the video.

This is designed as a companion piece for my more in-depth written coverage of the hands-on, so be sure to read through that if you want a little more information on specific games, as well as the hardware and what it's like to use.
KitGuru Says: What do you think of the games Nintendo had available at the hands-on and are set for the launch of the new system? I can't help but feel that I would have liked to have seen a couple more high-end or Nintendo AAA titles. 1-2 Switch should be bundled with the system too, though Nintendo claims it will be a full-price launch title instead.
2017 and not playing at 1080? Another DOA product for Nintendo.
every tv in my house is still 720, so i don’t really care. and to be honest, all the consoles out now have trouble maintaining a consistent 1080. apparently 1080 is for pc only.
That’s because console fans are somewhat poor and have unrealistic expectations. PC’s are pushing 4k, but also cost anywhere between £500 to £3000. But sadly console kids think they can buy something for £200 which is just as powerful >.< In short, console owners need to be willing to pay more.
You’re whats wrong with the “pcmasterrace” BigJimbo. Not everyone wants to build a custom pc. When people ask for advice when looking to break into the pc gaming world, they are told they must build their own as prebuilt systems are a rip off. So as someone thats never done it before, they are then faced with the daunting task of attempting to build their own system with no prior knowledge. As someone that games on both PC and Console, the trolls, enthusiasts, and casual gamers need to all chill out, band together and become a little more friendly. If I was not a pc gamer, looking into this world of technology, id be scared as hell. I preordered the Switch the next day, because I’m super excited for the games that are exclusive to Nintendo.
The daunting task of building their own? Nowadays it’s extremely easy to build your own PC. Hell, my brother who was mainly a console player wanted a PC so he could play LoL and other games with his friends. I lived out of state so with minimal help from me, he was able to buy all the parts and set it up himself. Not to mention you can find so many YouTube videos that will show you exactly how to do it. It’s screw a few things, plug some stuff in, and play!
Google is paying 97$ per hour! Work for few hours and have longer with friends & family! !mj275d:

At what point did I say they have to build it? Oh right, you’re making stuff up. What a surprise!
Nothing is stopping someone buying a PC off-the-shelf, plus there are now so many guides on building a PC you would have to be Forest Gump levels of slow to not be able to make one yourself.
Band together? Why and how? Consoles have unquestionably held back gaming for the last 10 years due to their lack of performance and the cesspit of fanboys buying the same rehash of a game every year. How has that helped anyone?
As for pre-ordering the next day – that just makes you a fanboy. Very few people care for Nintendo IPs anymore hence why the WiiU was such a failure. Sure, people will play Nintendo games if they are free, but ask someone to part with a few hundred pounds and they will buy a PS4 or smartphone instead.
