Galaxy S8 fully revealed in new image leak

Samsung might not be planning on officially unveiling the Galaxy S8 until the end of March but at this point, it is clear that leakers have their own ideas in mind. So far we've had leaks for the display, release date and specifications for both the standard S8 and the S8+. Now today, we have our first proper look at the Galaxy S8 itself thanks to a newly leaked image.

This leak comes our way from Evan Blass (formerly EVLeaks), a highly trusted and accurate leaker in the smartphone space. The image appears to have been taken straight from Samsung's Galaxy S8 presentation as the date displayed on the phone screen is exactly when Samsung's Unpacked 2017 event takes place.

As always, there is only so much information you can take away from an image leak but this does confirm that the standard Galaxy S8 will now use a curved ‘edge' display with very minimal bezels on the top, bottom and sides. The home button appears to have been removed entirely too.

Going from previous leaks, we can assume the display is around 5.5-inches and runs at a 1440p resolution. Under the hood you will find a Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB of RAM. The Galaxy S8 will get its price on the 29th of March at Samsung's event, with units currently estimated to begin shipping out on the 21st of April.

KitGuru Says: The Galaxy S8 is certainly shaping up to be quite the phone. Are any of you guys planning on upgrading this year? Is the S8 tempting you at all?
