Respawn reportedly developing Star Wars Mandalorian game

Respawn has been working on a few Star Wars projects outside of the Jedi Fallen Order series. One of these projects is a shooter but excitement for the game should begin to rise now that it has been reported to be a Mandalorian game.

Star Wars fans have wanted a Mandalorian/Bounty Hunter game for decades. We almost got exactly that with Star Wars 1313, which was unfortunately cancelled. Now, Respawn appears to be picking up the mantle, with Insider Gaming citing sources familiar with the game's development, claiming that a Mandalorian game is on the way.

There are still plenty of details we do not yet know. We don't know what part of the Star Wars timeline this game will slot in to, but it will most likely feature some fresh, new characters, rather than being a tie-in to The Mandalorian TV series.

The game is said to be ‘very fast paced', with players making frequent use of the Mandalorian's jet pack to boost around. You'll also have a variety of other tools at your disposal, including a wrist-rocket, grapple hook and you'll be able to tag enemies with your visor. The game will not be open-world but multiple planets will feature.

Unfortunately, this game is unannounced for now, so we'll have to wait for more official details. From the sounds of it though, the game is moving forward into production with the foundations all set and mechanical features mapped out.

KitGuru Says: Respawn did fantastic work with the Star Wars Jedi games, but shooters are what Respawn is perhaps best known for. With that in mind, I have little doubt that this will end up being a solid single-player game.
