Well there were certainly no leaks about this. Today, it seems that Nvidia has officially replaced the Titan X (Pascal) with the Titan Xp, featuring faster memory, more CUDA cores and faster clock speeds over the previous version.
For starters, the most obvious and immediate change to the Titan Xp is its memory. With the launch of the GTX 1080Ti, Nvidia started using faster 11Gbps GDDR5X memory for some of its GPUs. This memory is now making its way to the Titan-class card, bumping up overall memory bandwidth from 480 GB/s to 547.7 GB/s.
The GPU core initially rolled out on the Titan X was the GP-102, which is a cut down version of the GP-100 with fewer CUDA cores enabled. Nvidia has now fully unlocked all available CUDA cores on chip, bumping things up from 3584 to 3840. Finally, the rated boost clock for the new Titan Xp is 1582MHz, which is a tad higher than the 1531MHz found on the old Titan X.
While the new Titan does carry updated specs and an updating naming scheme, the cooling shroud is still branded ‘Titan X' so from the outside, all three Titan X cards will continue to look the same. The $1200 price tag also remains.

Yea this is what the first Titan X should have been in the first place. They release a cut down version then a bit later release the 1080 Ti (yes we knew it was coming) but to add insult to the Titan X buyers they release the full chip version of the Titan Xp now. If I had just bought a Titan X I would be angry for sure.
Is it going to be worth it with only maybe 10% more performance than a 1080 Ti nope heck is it worth it for a Titan X owner to upgrade to this thing again nope but I am sure there will be more than enough people willing to part with their hard earned cash that just bought Titans so they can proclaim on the internet they are king of the gaming rooms. Which is totally within their power and rights but it does seem kind of a mute point to go out and spend again on same gen stuff that nets you very little in return.
The GP102 is not a cut-down version of the GP100. GP100 has 64 32-bit CUDA cores and 32 64-bit CUDA cores per SM. It has stacked FP16 support. And it is designed to use HBM2 using a CoWoS process. The GP102 has 128 32-bit CUDA cores per SM. It contains 4 64-Bit CUDA cores and 1 CUDA core for double throughput FP16 per SM for compatibility purposes. It also has support for increased throughput INT8 operations, which GP100 does not have. The original Titan X (Pascal) used a cut down version of the GP102 die. The new Titan Xp uses the full (uncut) GP102 die.
I may have to sell that kidney after all. I want, no – need this card!

You can sell the card Rick but the warranty applies to the original purchase. So if the person who purchases the card gets any issue, he will have to contact you in order to get the card replaced.
rick tanchuk: so what do we do with it .i wanted to sli it.so you say it wont have warranty. and i cant purchase a new one .what did we do to nvidia …….
Sonal: You can sell the card Rick but in case of any issues with the card, the person who has the card will have to contact you in regards to the card replacement because the warranty applies to the original purchase. You can keep the purchase invoice saved somewhere.

Sonal: the card has not been discontinued as far as I can tell. GTX titan X pascal is a very high end card. So it will not be discontinued so soon.

i had to sell the video card today. it made me sick to my stomach to own it . i got robbed by nvidia . so did jayz2cents terry crews anybody that bought this titan x pascal. i got confirmation that it wont be back on the site. gone obsolete………………..

Abrar: regarding the replacement , the customers are replaced with a card identical to the one being replaced, for example , if its a GTX Titan X Pascal , they will get that as a replacement , not the Titan Xp

im am a level 2 now lol.
Soon… 1080-Ti-Black Edition… and 1 month later 1180 comes out with same performance as 1080-ti-black but cost the same as a 1080… the cycle continues.. til they make a 1080-ti-z-black-Xp-hyperloop edition.. then im gona eat my hat.
