Apple turns to NASA for help with Augmented Reality glasses

There have been tons of reports surrounding Apple's current augmented reality plans recently. Now it turns out that Apple is bringing in some help from NASA for its augmented reality glasses, hiring up those who also helped Microsoft with the Hololens.

According to sources, Apple has has hired Jeff Norris, a specialist in the new technology at NASA. Norris previously teamed up with Microsoft provide Hololens headsets to astronauts living on the International Space Station. He also supplied Hololens headsets to NASA scientists to provide them with live views of Mars.

Given his experience with augmented reality technology, he is in a good position to help Apple with its own efforts. According to the Bloomberg report, Norris has been specifically tasked with helping turn Apple's augmented reality glasses into a real product, as well as help create new AR features for future iPhones.

Norris is just one of many engineers behind Apple's augmented reality ambitions. Previous reports have indicated that the company has over a thousand engineers currently working on various AR projects across campuses worldwide.
