Update: Following rumours earlier this week, today Microsoft's Project Scorpio reveal was made official. The console will be shown off in just two days time and while we don't have confirmation on the software lineup, we do know that Digital Foundry has the exclusive on this one, so we can expect it to be very hardware focussed with plenty of in-depth detail.
Eurogamer confirmed that the reveal would take place this Thursday at 2PM here in the UK.

Original Story: While Microsoft's new console ‘Project Scorpio' is set to come out before the end of the year, the company has shown us very little so far. Fortunately, it looks like that might be changing this month as leaks are indicating that Microsoft is planning a Scorpio showcase soon, which would feature games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Crackdown 3 and Forza 7.
According to Windows Central writer, Jez Corden as well as serial games leaker Shinobi602 in Twitter, Project Scorpio is set to get a hardware reveal this week. During this event, Microsoft will be showing off the benefits of its new hardware in both first-party and third-party games.
As for which games will be shown off, according to VGLeaks, Microsoft will be showing Forza 7, State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3 from its first-party studios. From there, Rockstar is said to make an appearance with Red Dead Redemption 2, while EA is said to be showing FIFA, Madden and Star Wars Battlefront 2.
While signs pointing towards a Scorpio showcase do seem legitimate enough, we've recently heard that Battlefront 2 is set to be revealed at Star Wars Celebration, which casts some doubt over it being shown in a Scorpio showcase this week. There is also a rumour that Activision may show Call of Duty running on the console but given the publisher's current relationship with Sony, that one also seems iffy.
KitGuru Says: I don't think many people were expecting to see Project Scorpio in action until E3, so this April showcase does seem like an interesting turn of events. Hopefully we will hear more later this week.
