Corsair launches new MP600 Elite M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSDs

Corsair has introduced the latest addition to its storage lineup, the MP600 Elite series of SSDs. With up to 2TB of capacity, these high-performance PCIe 4.0 SSDs come with or without a heatsink, making them ideal for desktop PCs, laptops, and even PlayStation 5 consoles.

The MP600 Elite series is built with high-density 3D TLC NAND and is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities at launch, with 4TB models arriving in April. With an exceptional sequential read performance of up to 7,000 MB/s and write performance of up to 6,500 MB/sec, these SSDs provide plenty of speed for gaming and other applications.

The MP600 Elite is available without a heatsink for laptops and less spacious enclosures. Alternatively, you can get it with an integrated heat spreader and a PS5-compatible variant that plugs directly into Sony's newest system. The MP600 Elite for PS5 has been designed for Sony's console with its low-profile aluminium heatsink that keeps the SSD cool even during long gaming sessions.

These SSDs have AES 256-bit encryption and a maximum durability of 1,200 TBW. Additionally, they come with a five-year guarantee and are supported by the Corsair SSD Toolbox software.

KitGuru says: Although PCIe 4.0 SSDs are slower than PCIe 5.0 ones, they are still relevant for most users due to their lower price and good performance. If you're in the market for a new PCIe 4.0 SSD, the Corsair MP600 Elite might be worth looking out for.
