8PACK showcases ‘world’s most powerful’ £30,000 PC at Insomnia i60

Most of us have a chassis under/on the desk with a single PC inside that costs less than £2,000.  As one of the most successful overclockers the world, 8PACK doesn't do what most of us do! His mission in life is to push the boundaries of what's possible. At the Insomnia i60 gaming festival this weekend, over 40,000 visitors will have the chance to see what a £30,000 PC looks like.

The actual specification on show weighs in at £25,000 (details in the video) and OcUK claim that it's the most powerful production gaming PC on offer in the world today, Complete with a unique dual-system liquid cooling topology. Impressive stuff.

We asked Overclocker's resident magic man, Steven Levitt, to get the details from 8PACK as well as showing us OcUK's latest affordable line up – PLUS a specially modded machine created for Corsair partner, BoMenzzz, which tests the limits on how much pink can be packed into a single PC.

Here are some shots of the stand, rigs and other cool stuff!

We mentioned this one was pink, right?

When they weren't busy designing pink PCs, Corsair provided plenty of hands-on experience stations – to give i60 visitors the chance to ‘try before you buy' your next keyboard, mouse and headset.

Finally, there were plenty of discount deals to be had – for example on MSI gaming laptops (more about this in a follow up report!).

KitGuru says: i60 has been one of the best Insomnia events ever with a huge crowd and plenty to see/do. The event will run for the whole of Monday this time – which means anyone with access to the NEC has until 5pm on Bank Holiday Monday (17th)  to get down there!

  1. I ordered myself one of those £30,000 PC’s but ended up returning it as it didn’t come with a trial of Norton Security or Winzip. Total ripoff.
