Computex: Corsair unveils new cases, peripherals, watercooling gear and more

Today at Computex, our team on the ground got to take a look around Corsair's booth. They were showing off a plethora of new products, including two cases of epic proportions, a new keyboard, custom watercooling gear as well as a couple of AIO liquid coolers.

Starting with the cases, the first thing we saw was the Curve concept case. This is not coming to market, but the prototype on display is a stunning, curved chassis made of carbon and carbon fibre. The reason it is not making its way to a production line? Cost. Corsair told us that this prototype cost in the region of $20K to manufacturer, so we can't really blame them. Kitted out with a custom loop, though, it is truly a thing of beauty.

Next up, the Slate concept. This product is coming to market and so far we are hearing it will be in the region of £500. Essentially, Slate is a huge case capable of holding two separate systems in a manner that is reminiscent of the Phanteks Enthoo Elite. This means you can fit one E-ATX motherboard, as well as a Mini-ITX board, in the same chassis. Corsair exhibited it with a huge custom loop installed, too, and there is enough radiator space in the chassis to put any other ‘watercooling' case to shame.

Speaking of watercooling, Corsair is also expanding into the world of custom liquid cooling. The company displayed G1/4 fittings, CPU blocks, GPU blocks and reservoirs, all of which should come to market soon.

Following on from that, Corsair also had a couple of AIO liquid coolers on display for those who do not want the hassle of a custom loop. These use as-yet unreleased 6th Gen Asetek hardware and will come bundled with Corsair's own ML fans. We saw 280mm and 360mm models, though other sizes are likely to be appearing as well.

Lastly, there were a few peripherals that caught our eye. One is a special mouse mat with an integrated Chi charging facility – this will work in-tandem with an as-yet unreleased mouse. However, it does also include a dongle for charging standard mobiles, too. In terms of new keyboards, we also got a glimpse of the K68 which is meant to be dust and water resistant – something which would be invaluable for many.

KitGuru says: Corsair had a lot to show off and some of their concepts are truly bonkers – but in a brilliant way. Personally, new AIOs and custom liquid cooling gear excites me most, but if there's anything that has caught your eye, let us know in the comments.
