Ever since Red Dead Redemption 2's surprise announcement late last year, Rockstar has been keeping quiet on the project. While we were originally expecting a big reveal at E3 and a release later this Summer, it looks like the game is going to take longer than originally planned.
Last night, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's publisher, confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 would now be coming to Xbox One and PS4 in 2018 instead. The current time window is sometime after April 2018 but as is often the case in development, that could easily change.
There is still no word on whether or not Rockstar is planning to bring its western franchise over to PC. Red Dead Redemption was notoriously kept off of the PC for years and so far, there isn't much giving us hope for the sequel.
KitGuru Says: Rockstar is no stranger to delaying games so this move isn't completely unexpected. In fact, I imagine quite a few fans will have been expecting this. In the meantime though, at least we have some new screenshots to look at.
I knew they’d do this…..bunch of cowboys.
