Sharkoon’s new Skiller SGK40 RGB mechanical keyboards offer speedy red switches for gaming

Sharkoon has released a new mechanical keyboard, the Skiller SGK40. Featuring a three-block design with an aluminium casing, Sharkoon's new Skiller keyboard comes with Huano red linear switches suitable for gaming.

The Skiller SGK40 also features “Edge Light” lighting, comprising an LED strip on the back of the keyboard's diamond-cut aluminium chassis. This design adds an extra level of RGB lighting, making the keyboard look more visually appealing. You can also customise the lighting of the keys and the Edge Light or turn them off entirely via software.

Sharkoon designed the SGK40 keyboard with gamers in mind. It comes equipped with linear red switches from Huano, which only require 45 grammes of actuation power and have a two-millimetre distance to the actuation point. The manufacturer claims the keys have a minimum working life cycle of 50 million keystrokes, ensuring long-lasting usage.

The Skiller SGK40 has several function keys, including media control. Additionally, the software allows you to customise the keyboard inputs and construct complicated macros with up to 391 recorded actions. You can assign macros to up to 20 game profiles, and any macro can be assigned to a specific key for easy access. The Skiller SGK40 is currently available in black, with a white variant coming soon. Both models cost €59.90.

KitGuru says: Even if it lacks some of the high-end features such as hot-swappable or gasket mount, for its price, the Sharkoon SGK40 looks like a solid catch for an entry-level mechanical gaming keyboard.
