As part of Microsoft's effort to bring more games to PC, this year Forza 7 will be launching on Windows 10 in addition to Xbox One. Microsoft's PC ports have been hit and miss so far but last year's Gears of War 4 release was a huge step forward in terms of quality. Judging by Forza Motorsport 7's system requirements, this game should be relatively well optimised too.
For minimum requirements, you will need Windows 10, 8GB of RAM, an Intel Core i7-750 and an Nvidia GTX 650 or AMD R7 250x. We don't know what quality settings this particular configuration is targeting, but this system will get you up and running.
For recommended settings you will still need Windows 10 and 8GB of RAM. However, you will need to bump up your CPU to an Intel Core i5 4460 and your GPU to an Nvidia GTX 670 or GTX 1050Ti. Unfortunately, an AMD GPU is not included in the recommended spec but judging by the Nvidia spec, I would imagine an RX 570 would do.
As with all ‘Play Anywhere' titles, you will need to grab Forza 7 from the Windows Store. Hopefully Microsoft can share more details on specific quality targets for its minimum and recommended spec soon. Some more details on PC-specific features would be nice too, such as multiple monitors, 21:9, racing wheels etc.
KitGuru Says: While Forza 7 coming to PC isn't much of a surprise, especially after seeing Forza Horizon 3 land on the platform, it is still nice to see Microsoft supporting PC. Hopefully this trend continues to expand across Microsoft's first-party library in the years to come.
Hope my I5-3770K and my Gigabyte GTX 770 OC and 8GB of ram will run it smooth !
This has me more excited than any game released this year. A full Forza title on PC.
I picked up a new Logitech G920 at the weekend to replace my old wheel and I’ve been playing Assetto Corsa, Project Cars and Forza Horizon 3 all week. I love a good driving game and with Forza 7 on the PC I have no need to buy a Xbox One X now.
Still living in 2012 huh..?
When the 700 series of Geforce cards came out in 2013. I don’t think he is.
3770K + 8GB is and the 700 series is the 600 series with higher clocks.. C’mon man, nice try..
Just checked your post history….
4790K….. Yeah man you are really killing it. Don’t knock other peoples hardware, we all make do with what we have. I’m on a 6600K by the way before you start digging, yup the poor man’s Skylake.
Ive got nvidia titan x pascal 12 gb and intel i7 6950x 3.5 ghz newly assembled pc 50 inch led connected by hdmi now u talk about it
3770K is an i7 bud. I know because i have one 😀
i7 3770K @4.6Ghz 16GB DDR3 @1833 Soon to have an RX580 8GB. Should run ok with what you have GPU wise as well, 770 is a decent card, might not run ultra, but ultra graphics are not going to affect the way the car drives, as long as you are getting 60+ fps everything should be sweet 😀
Some people live for it, some people are small, immature and lack self confidence so they have to talk shit about what others have, OH I CAN AFFORD THE BEST THERE IS SO IM A BETTER GAMER THAN YOU. To which i say, fuck off.
I hate bullies too.
Even then… if this is the game you want, you should wait until the game is released before upgrading your video card. So keep that old video card for a while longer, until either a monitor upgrade 1440p or 4k… or if the game no longer plays with at 1080p.
I really dont care for 4K dont have the kind of money required for a decent screen and im playing with my screen less than 2 feet infront of my face. 1080p is enough for my present needs, some point in the future maybe, but if i do upgrade my screen in will be a 21:9 super wide. I was playing with the idea of 3 screens but i dont like the bezel so a 21:9 ultra wide sound more appealing. My screen is running at 75hz 1920×1080 good enough for me, im playing games, i dont need 4K to enjoy them, i need stable frame rate more than i need super high res. Beleive me if i was a rich man, i would have a 21:9 36″ screen flanked by 2 16:9 1080p panels, VR and the GTX1080ti’s in sli, but im not, so im stuck with my measly 1080p at 75hz, but oh well. 😀
If it can game, it can game, fuck the haters 😀
I built that setting in 2013 ! Still a good setting !
Steam Or GTFO imo
gta 1050 ti and 8tv ram with a amd a8-7600 I’ll be running it at 1080p I can’t wait to see the performance with this
Yea I opted for a 1440p monitor. I had 1080p at 60hz. 1440p was a nice upgrade for me. I also upgraded to IPS which was nice colour boost. Going to 1440p was not a significant strain on my hardware. However, the majority of games I play so-far at 1440p are older. If I was trying to play the latest and greatest games I would need a computer upgrade. But still not done playing old games.
It’s Microsoft. Get real.
Most games i play are new, Overwatch, Fallout 4, games that are really taxing on GPU, so 1080p is always my limit lol, simply because i struggle to maintain that 60fps at 1080p lol
