Samsung's much anticipated return to the phablet market is approaching fast as a new report this week claims that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Note 8 in August. This is the second time we have heard of an August launch for the Note flagship, so it is looking more and more likely.
Two weeks back, we first heard sources begin reporting on a Galaxy Note 8 August launch. This time around, Reuters has been in touch with ‘a source familiar with the matter', who also confirmed that the unveiling is planned for August.
This source also confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8 will have a curved display, which will be a bit larger than the Galaxy S8+. On the rear, we will see dual cameras but unfortunately, additional specs and pricing details were not supplied.
This isn't the first leak we have seen regarding the Galaxy Note 8. Previously we saw what looked like internal renders of the device, detailing more features and design elements.
KitGuru Says: While the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 8 may happen in August, retail availability might not arrive until September. Still, if these reports are true, then the device isn't far off at all. Are any of you planning on upgrading your smartphone this year?
