Dragon Ball FighterZ could come to Switch if there is enough demand

If you grew up watching Dragonball Z like I did, then chances are you were fairly excited to see Dragon Ball FighterZ introduced on the Xbox stage at E3 this year. Impressions from the show floor so far have been hugely positive and some outlets have voted for the game to win the ‘Best of E3' award. The only downside is, the game is currently not coming to the Nintendo Switch. However, that could change if enough people show Bandai Namco that they want it.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently announced for PC, Xbox One and PS4. Some assumed that the game skipping over the Nintendo Switch was due to power restraints but as it turns out, the Switch is perfectly capable, it's just a case of Namco Bandai wanting to see demand.

Speaking with the french gaming site Gameblog.fr, Dragon Ball FighterZ producer, Tomoko Hiroki, explained that the game could very well come to the Nintendo Switch. The company has already managed to port Dragonball Xenoverse 2 to the system with absolutely no issues, so if fans show interest, they will add the Switch to the list of platforms.

However, if Bandai Namco does end up making a Switch version, it will likely arrive later in 2018. Right now, the PS4, Xbox and PC versions are all slated for early 2018, so we'll have to wait and see.

KitGuru Says: When I first saw Dragon Ball FighterZ, I immediately wanted to play it on my Switch. Hopefully with fans now speaking out in support of a Switch version, Bandai Namco will be willing to add it to the list of supported platforms.
