At E3 last month, Bethesda officially announced The Evil Within 2, with the rather fitting release date of Friday the 13th of October. We have seen a cinematic announcement trailer for the game already but this week, Bethesda started showing off gameplay, with a brand new trailer to showcase the game's survival horror elements.
The ‘Survive' gameplay trailer for The Evil Within 2 lasts just over a minute and a half and gives a good look at some of the horrors you will be up against in the sequel.
As you can see from the trailer, there are some rather disturbing enemies for Sebastian Castellanos to take on this time around. The game will take place in the City of Union, where Sebastian is tasked with figuring out what really happened to his daughter Lily, who was believed to have died in a house fire years before the events of the first Evil Within.
Similarly to the first game, you will be able to approach levels in several ways, providing you have the tools and resources to do so. The game launches on the 13th of October this year on PC, Xbox One and PS4. It will be one of the first games to run at 4K on the Xbox One X.
KitGuru Says: I recently started playing through the original Evil Within in preparation for the sequel. From what we have seen so far, The Evil Within 2 is shaping up to be quite the adventure. Will any of you be returning for The Evil Within 2? What do you think of the game so far?
