Razer claim 350 hour battery life with new Atheris wireless mouse

While Razer are known for some of the best gaming mice on the market, they unsurprisingly often come with a premium price tag. In a bid to expand its wireless entries across all markets, Razer has launched the Atheris mouse, boasting a huge battery life at a reasonably small price tag.

The Razer Atheris is a compact mouse, built for various scenarios including travel but its main draw is the incredible 350 hours of battery life on just two AA batteries. According to the company, the mouse has the world’s longest battery life “among mobile productivity mice with gaming-grade features.” Of course, this is based on Razer’s own testing and could vary depending on usage and connection.

The Atheris maintains “industry-leading signal stability” with dual-connectivity and the same Adaptive Frequency Technology included on the Razer Lancehead. It comes with a 2.4 Ghz wireless dongle as well as the ability to use Bluetooth LE, meaning you’re safe even if the dongle goes missing.

It contains a 7,200 DPI optical sensor and DPI sensitivity switch for on-the-fly adjustment through the profiles you’ve assigned in the Razer Synapse software.

The Razer Atheris wireless mouse is available on the Razer online store for $49.99, a huge drop from the premium pricing of the Razer Lancehead, and can be expected from third-party retailers next year.

KitGuru Says: I have experience with Razer’s previous wireless mice such as the Razer Naga Chroma and was quite impressed with its responsiveness. Have you used wireless mice before? Would you pick up the Atheris?
