QNAP Systems this month is launching an all new NAS series, the TS-x53BU featuring expandable PCIe M.2 SSD and 10GbE connectivity. This particular series is available in 4, 8 and 12 bay models and offers optimal performance with 4 Gigabit LAN ports and room for M.2 SSDs and 10GbE connections.
Under the hood, the system is powered by a 14nm Intel Celeron J3455 quad-core processor running at 1.5Ghz with a boost up to 2.3GHz. It comes with 8GB of dual-channel DDR3L RAM and four Gigabit LAN ports. Using Intel AES-NI 256-bit encryption, this NAS can deliver read speeds up to 416MB/s. Additionally, the TS-x53BU-RP provides a redundant power supply to ensure optimal uptime for mission-critical applications.
Speaking about the latest NAS series, QUNAP’s Dan Lin said: “The TS-x53BU secures data with a complete backup solution while providing high performance and expandability. The PCIe slot satisfies a variety of business demands with functional expansion options including SSD caching or 10GbE connectivity”.
The TS-x53BU features high-capacity storage, providing an ideal solution for deploying virtualization environments and hosting virtual machines, which greatly helps businesses curb IT server expenses. Apps like “IFTTT Agent” and “Qfiling” help automate user workflows for improved efficiency and productivity while “Qsync” and “Hybrid Backup Sync” simplify file sharing and syncing across devices. There are more apps available to help with things like video surveillance and email too.
The QNAP TS-x53BU is available now through QNAP’s website.
