HyperX launches Cloud Alpha gaming headset with dual chamber design

Kingston’s new addition to the HyperX line moves away from traditional driver positioning in favour of a brand new design in gaming headsets. The HyperX Cloud Alpha comes with a dual chambered design, allowing for greater distinction of sound by separating the bass from the mids and highs.

Although the dual chambered design isn’t a new concept, it is brand new in the gaming sector, enabling the Cloud Alpha’s 50mm neodymium drivers to boast less distortion and blending of the different ranges.

“The new HyperX Cloud Alpha is the first gaming headset to include our dual chamber technology to deliver unrivaled sound quality,” said global audio business manager at HyperX, Tyler Needles. “Designed and tested in the HyperX labs, Cloud Alpha delivers the best possible audio performance, comfort, and build quality for the ultimate competitive advantage and will be used by top esports pros globally.”

The Cloud Alpha also ships with a detachable noise-cancelling microphone and braided cable, complete with in-line audio control. Another large selling point is its multi-platform compatibility, designed to work with PC, PS4 and Xbox One via a 3.5mm input.

You can get your hands on the HyperX Cloud Alpha headset on September 25th, priced at $100.
