QNAP expands its AMD-powered offerings with TS-x73U Rackmount NAS

QNAP has launched its latest business-class, AMD-powered NAS known as the TS-x73U. This latest addition to its AMD-powered offerings comes in 8,12 and 16-bay models and are equipped with AMD Embedded R-Series RX-421ND quad-core CPUs running at 2.1GHz with a boost to 3.4Ghz.

Beyond that, the TS-x73U comes with single and redundant power supply options, as well as a pre-installed dual-port 10GbE SFP+ network card and two M.2 SATA 6Gb/s SSD slots. With this NAS also being rack mountable, it is ideal for businesses looking to create or add to a private cloud or efficient IT infrastructure.

With a dual 10GbE configuration, this NAS can deliver up to 1,567 MB/s throughput and with the accelerated encryption engine in use, you get unmatched AES-NI encryption performance of up to 1,244 MB/s. Given that this is a multifaceted NAS, you can use it for data storage, backup and file sharing across Windows, Mac and Linux/UNIX.

You can synchronise across devices using Qsync and the built-in QTS App Centre if filled with smart apps that can help boost productivity, organisation and more.
