Xtrify and Ninjas in Pyjamas launch K3 ‘mem-chanical’ keyboard

Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen a couple of esports teams get involved on the peripheral side of things. Not only do some players provide feedback for upcoming products but some teams even own their own peripheral brands. One such team is Ninjas in Pyjamas, which owns Xtrfy. We’ve reviewed a few Xtrfy peripherals in the past but today’s launch is especially interesting, as the new K3 Gaming Keyboard comes with new ‘mem-chanical’ switches.

While previous boards from Xtrfy have been geared more towards the high-end, with the K3, Xtrfy is aiming to bring the feeling of a mechanical keyboard in an affordable package. The K3 isn’t the first keyboard to try and offer the ‘mechanical feel’ in a membrane switch but if done correctly, then it can be quite convincing.

Other features of this keyboard include RGB lighting, a 1000Hz polling rate and 19-key rollover and a durable design involving a metal base plate and dust resistant key caps. Each key switch is rated for 20 million keystrokes.

Here is the full list of specs:
