NeoGAF has been taken offline following misconduct allegations

Update (24/10/17): NeoGAF's owner, Tyler Malka, has brought the site back online today, issuing a statement and denying the allegations made against him. You can find the updated story HERE

Original Story: When it comes to gaming forums, NeoGAF is one of the largest and most popular around. Regular consumers, developers and industry insiders visit it regularly and engage in discussions. Unfortunately, the site has hit a rough patch, with the site being taken offline over the weekend, following misconduct allegations being thrown at the owner.

Over the weekend, allegetions surfaced on Facebook accusing NeoGAF owner and admin, Tyler “Evilore Malka of sexual harassment. The post can be viewed in screenshots on Imgur. After this information started doing the rounds, a good chunk of NeoGAF’s moderation staff stepped down in protest. Ultimately, this led to the site being pulled offline.

Right now, NeoGAF is working on a response to the allegations. However, with no moderators to take care of things in the interim, the site will remain down. There is the possibility that NeoGAF won’t come back, particularly given that there are further allegations coming to light.

KitGuru Says: Malka still needs to share his side of the story but so far, things aren’t looking good for the future of NeoGAF. We’ll keep an eye out for an update.
