A select number of Netflix Games can now be played on your TV

For the past few years, video streaming giant Netflix has been trying to get into the gaming space, having acquired certain studios alongside the signing of many deals with various publishers. Previously only available via the mobile version of Netflix, the company is now testing the ability to play its games through a browser.

As shared by ResetEra user ‘evilgenius’ Netflix have seemingly begun testing the ability to play its gaming experiences via a web browser – meaning you should be able to launch these titles across pretty much every platform that Netflix is on.

It is worth noting however that only a small selection of games are currently available this way, namely:

  • The Almost Gone
  • Infernax
  • Oxenfree
  • Reigns
  • Reigns Three Kingdoms
  • Story Warriors
  • Link Twin
  • Mole Gem Mayhem

This marks but a small sample size of all Netflix games, with the streaming giant including the likes of GTA and Hades exclusively through mobile for now. While many of these browser-based offerings are relatively simple affairs, the inclusion of Oxenfree suggests that perhaps we will see a greater expansion of the Netflix Games service over time.

Since its inception, Netflix Games has improved greatly, adding a surprisingly strong line-up of titles. Hopefully the full list of games is eventually made available across all Netflix screens.
