AMD will reportedly use RDNA 3.5 iGPUs on Ryzen APUs until 2027

Recent rumours suggest that AMD will keep using RDNA 3.5 (RDNA 3+) integrated graphics on APUs until at least 2027. Although RDNA 3.5 products have yet to be released, it is speculated that they will be launched later this year.

The report is from Golden Pig Upgrade (via @harukze5719), claiming AMD could use RDNA 3.5 beyond 2027. AMD has not officially confirmed the improvements that RDNA 3.5 will bring, but it is highly unlikely that the company would change the name without introducing significant changes.

All new Zen5-based APUs (Strix Point, Strix Halo, and Kraken Point) are expected to feature RDNA 3.5 iGPUs. Fire Range should be the exception, as it's expected to be based on the desktop Granite Ridge and use an RDNA 2 GPU. All the Zen5-based APUs should come out between 2024 and 2025.

In addition to RDNA 3.5, there are rumours circulating about RDNA 4 and RDNA 5. RDNA 4 is expected to be launched by the end of this year and should debut under the Radeon RX 8000 series cards, aimed at the mid-range and high-end markets. Meanwhile, leaked documents from Microsoft suggest that the company is in early discussions with AMD about Navi 5 (RDNA 5), which may feature in the custom APU that will power next-gen Xbox consoles.
