It's not just Intel unveiling new processors today, AMD is also getting in on the action. Today, AMD is unveiling its new Ryzen AI PRO 300 series chips, with improved performance for those who need a bit more computational juice while on the move.
These are AMD's third generation AI mobile processors, designed to improve productivity by enabling a number of Copilot+ PC features, including live captioning and language translation during calls, and advanced AI image generators, amongst other use cases. The new Ryzen AI PRO 300 CPUs are claimed to offer up to three times the AI performance compared to the previous generation. The new chips are built on the Zen 5 architecture, with the XDNA 2 architecture powering the NPU, which delivers over 50 TOPS of performance.
