You can play Rainbow Six Siege for free this week

Hot on the heels of this week's new operator leak, Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Siege will be having a free weekend. Starting from tomorrow, you will be able to download Rainbow Six Siege for free on PC, Xbox One or PS4 and have full access.

The free weekend runs from the 16th of November until the 19th. If you end up deciding that you want to pick up the game, then you'll be able to get it for 60 percent off on consoles and 50 percent off on PC.

Currently, Ubisoft is preparing to finish off Rainbow Six Siege's ‘Year Two' season of content, which will include two more operators and another map. The release cycle for new characters was disrupted a bit this year due to Operation Health, but with that now out of the way, things are back on track.

With Year Two coming to a close, we should hopefully start to hear about ‘Year Three' at some point before the end of the year. If you do end up buying Siege while it is on sale, then do keep in mind that you will also need to pick up the season pass to unlock newer operators straight away, or you can save up in-game currency to unlock them individually for free.

KitGuru Says: Ubisoft has been doing a great job with Rainbow Six Siege with consistent updates. Things got a bit rocky over the summer but hopefully the trials and tribulations of Year Two will make for a better Year Three. Are many of you still actively playing Siege? Will you be jumping in for the free weekend?
