MSI slashes gaming laptop prices for Black Friday

Black Friday is coming up this week, which means there are many great deals to be had on tech just in time for Christmas. Today, MSI revealed its slate of holiday bargains for the week, with savings to be had on a number of gaming laptops.

If you are looking to pick up a new gaming laptop before the end of the year, then now would be a good time to buy. MSI has cut prices on its high-end, mid-range and entry level systems. We have a breakdown of all the deals below. Do note that all prices listed are ‘suggested retail pricing‘ from MSI, so retail pricing may differ depending on where you go.

The GTX 1050 segment:

MSI's GTX 1050 powered laptops start at £799 this week. The GL62 7RDX-2073UK is the cheapest. It features an Intel Core i5-7300HQ, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 256GB boot SSD, 1TB storage HDD and a GTX 1050 for £799.

For £849 you can grab the MSI GL62M 7RDX-1693UK, which packs an Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 128GB boot SSD, a 1TB storage HDD, a 1080p IPS display and a GTX 1050.

For £999 you can get the MSI GS63 7RD Stealth, which comes with an Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 128GB NVMe boot SSD, a 1TB storage drive, Thunderbolt 3 support and a GTX 1050. Finally, wrapping up this lineup is the GL72M 7REX-1225UK, which costs £979. It comes with the same specs as the GL62M, but bumps up the display size to 17.3 inches.

The GTX 1050Ti segment:

The GTX 1050Ti segment also starts at £799. The GL62M 7REX-1869UK is the cheapest of the bunch, with an Intel Core i5-7300HQ, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 128GB boot SSD, a 1TB storage drive and a GTX 1050Ti GPU.

The GL62M 7REX-1293UK bumps things up to an Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 256GB boot SSD, a 1TB storage HDD, a 15.6-inch 1080p display and a GTX 1050Ti for £949.

MSI PL62 7RC-068UK:

Previously sitting at £649, MSI's entry-level gaming laptop can be had for £579 this week. This model features an Intel Core i5-7300HQ, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 1TB hard drive and an Nvidia GeForce MX150 2GB graphics card.

The GTX 1060 segment:

The GTX 1060 segment is where we start to enter high-end territory. For £999, you can grab the GP62MVR Leopard Pro, which packs an Intel Core i7-7820HK, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 128GB boot SSD, a 1TB storage drive and a GTX 1060. If you have a bit more to spend, then you can grab the GE62VR Apache Pro for £1099. This model packs an Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 128GB SSD for boot, a 1TB HDD for storage and a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS-level display.

The GTX 1070 segment:

The GTX 1070 segment starts at £1,399 for the GE72MVR Apache Pro. This laptop packs a Core i7-7700HQ, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 256GB boot SSD, a 1TB storage HDD, Cooler Boost 4 technology and of course, a GTX 1070.

For £1,999, you can get the GT73EVR TITAN, which comes with an Intel Core i7-7820HK, a 512GB NVMe SSD boot drive, a 1TB storage HDD, a GTX 1070 and a fully RGB backlit SteelSeries keyboard.

The GTX 1080 segment:

Finally, the king of the hill is the MSI GT73EVR TITAN PRO. This laptop comes with  an Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, a 256GB NVMe boot SSD, a 1TB storage HDD, an RGB backlit SteelSeries keyboard and a GTX 1080 graphics card. This particular laptop will set you back by £2,099.
