No ifs or warm butts with Thermaltake’s X Comfort Air gaming chair

While many are still expecting an influx of RGB gaming chairs, Thermaltake is heading in a different direction all together. Focusing on just how cool your bum could be, the new Thermaltake X Comfort Air is the first gaming chair to sport built-in fans.

Thermaltake lines four fans underneath the X Comfort Air's cushioning, engineered to drag air from below to lightly hit your backside, ultimately cooling you down.

“Use of a special five-fan blade design based on automotive industry tech allows the four built-in cooling fans to generate even greater volumes of air for improved airflow and speed. The use of high-quality components in the fan blade design provides a whopping 75,000-hour lifespan, which is double than that of industry standard and provides utmost performance and reliability,” explains Thermaltake.

The company has designed the fan blades in a wind blocker frame that drags a greater amount of air towards the middle section, preventing air escaping via a compression effect. Your butt won't get too cold, however, as Thermaltake has provided a three-step fan controller to let you adjust the speed to suit you.

In traditional gaming chair-style, the frame is made from steel surrounded by dense foam. On the surface is coloured faux leather for a signature look, paired with breathable mesh to enable the fans.

It's 4D armrests are adjustable, are the extra head and back support. You can also relax with a reclining tilt mechanism, with a locking system.

The Thermaltake X Comfort Air is available now for $500 in two different colours, a black and red version and an all-black variant.
