Today’s Overwatch update adds Moira to the game

Following on from the Blizzcon reveal a few weeks back, today's Overwatch update adds a new hero to the game- Moira. This latest character joins the team under the support class, with new abilities that make her a mobile healer that can also deal a decent amount of damage to adapt to different situations.

Moira's main attack is ‘Biotic Grasp', which comes with two fire modes, the primary mode heals allies within range, while secondary fire saps health away from enemies. Moira also comes equipped with the ‘Biotic Orb' ability, which launches a sphere of energy that bounces around the battlefield, dealing out health and damage to players within range.

Her third ability is ‘Fade', which allows Moira to disappear into the shadows and become invulnerable to damage for a short amount of time. This is similar to one of Reaper's abilities, which allows him to enter ghost form and travel away without taking damage.

Finally, Moira's ultimate ability is called ‘Coalescence', and acts as a long range beam that can pierce through barriers and heal allies or deal damage to enemies. You can see her character introduction video above.

Moira goes live in Overwatch today as part of the latest patch, which also buffs Ana's Biotic rifle and makes some additional changes to Mercy. You can find the full patch notes here.
